Connect e-conomic
You sign in to e-conomic and add Docentra as an app. Docentra then reads your booked supplier invoices with their documents, and can see what has been paid.
Who does it: You, in a couple of minutes.
Before you start
- e-conomic Plus, Smart or Komplet. With Basis, other systems can't read the bookkeeping.
- An e-conomic user who may book entries. You don't need to be the agreement's super user.
- If you're an accountant connecting a client's books, first switch to administering the client's agreement in e-conomic.
Steps
Choose e-conomic in Docentra
In Docentra, open Settings › Accounting system and choose Connect next to e-conomic.
Sign in to e-conomic
e-conomic asks you to sign in before you can add the app. Choose OK, then sign in to Visma Connect with your email address, as you usually do.
Add Docentra
e-conomic shows what Docentra asks for. Choose Add app. If you have several agreements, Docentra is added to the one you are working in.
Docentra starts reading
You're back in Docentra. From now on, Docentra reads the supplier invoices you book, and syncs automatically every six hours. Invoices booked before you connected are read only if you ask Docentra, for example to check the last year too.
What the access allows
e-conomic can't give apps read-only access. The access you approve matches e-conomic's Bookkeeping role, so it also allows creating and booking entries.
Docentra only reads. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in your system.
Removing access
In Docentra: open Settings › Accounting system and choose Disconnect. The booked entries are removed from Docentra, but invoices Docentra has already read stay.
In e-conomic: choose the orange gear › All Settings › Extensions › Apps, then click the cross next to Docentra. A super user sees every app there. Other users see only the apps they added themselves.
If something goes wrong
- e-conomic says the agreement doesn't give access to the API
- Basis doesn't include it. Upgrade to Plus, Smart or Komplet in e-conomic.
- e-conomic says you must be administering an agreement to add apps
- If you're an accountant, switch to administering the client's agreement in e-conomic, then choose Connect in Docentra again.
- “Connecting was cancelled”
- You cancelled, or closed the page before you were done. Choose Connect again.
- “Another accounting system is connected”
- Docentra reads only one accounting system per company. Disconnect the other system first, then connect this one.
- “e-conomic no longer gives Docentra access”
- The access was removed in e-conomic, or the person who connected it can't sign in any more. Choose Connect again.
